Please read through the following and make sure you meet the below requirements before submitting your information. Please note that most of the following is for applicants looking for Massage Therapy work and not all requirements below may apply to you. If you wish to apply for multiple work positions or are unsure of your qualifications, just follow through submitting the application and we’ll address our need for any additional information during the interview process.

Massage Therapist Requirements:

Must be at least 18 years of age

Must be certified/licensed – You must be legally qualified as required by the state of the event contract and have a minimum of 500 hours of training.

Must be insured – all of our sub-contractors must carry professional liability insurance (generally through AMTA, AMC, ABMP, etc.)

Must own or have access to a professional massage chair – You must be able to provide your own massage chair that is clean and in good working condition. We may be able to provide a massage chair for you on a rental basis that will be deducted from your compensation.

Must have a reliable form of transportation for you and your equipment – You need to be able to get to local events using your own form of transportation. Transportation and lodging vouchers for events in cities outside of our base city (Miami, Fl.) may be provided based on the event/schedule/personnel.

Must have your own cleaning and sanitation supplies – You may have to provide your own cleaning products and face cradle covers (professional or paper towel method) based on the event.

Must be prompt, professional, and well-groomed

Must have ability to send and receive phone calls, texts, and emails for communication

Dress Attire:

You will know the requirements for dress attire for each event ahead of time via an Event Prep Packet sent via email. Usual dress attire includes medical scrubs, professional fitness/athletic wear, and comfortable sneakers or service shoes. Some events may require polo-style shirts and dress shorts/pants. Dress codes are specific to particular contract requirements. Applies to MT’s and OTHER.

Working Environment:

You will know what to expect for each event in terms of location and working environment ahead of time via an Event Prep Packet sent via email. Our event locations range from indoor corporate settings to outdoor markets or festivals. To participate in office settings or trade shows you will need to work in HOT/COLD environments. To participate in outdoor markets or festivals you will need to work in HOT/COLD environments. Although fans will be provided for outdoor event tent setups, it may still be a HOT environment and you may be working outdoors in unpredictable weather. Applies to MT’s and OTHER.

Compensation:

Massage Therapists are compensated according to 1099 sub-contractor regulations. MT’s are compensated either on an Event Fee Basis or on a Ticket System Basis depending on the contract. You will be notified of the compensation basis when we contact you for availability.

If working an Event Fee Basis event, you will be compensated a one-time fee via company check/ACH/deposit transfer within 3-5 business days after working an event (this gives us time to process sales and tips).

If working a Ticket System Basis event (one ticket per customer per session), your payment will be based on individual tickets credited. If working a Ticket System Basis event, you will be compensated via company check/ACH/deposit transfer within 3-5 business days after working an event (this gives us time to process sales and tips).

*Individual CASH tips are yours effective the date of the event regardless of the basis.

Compensation for all OTHER positions is subject to terms of individual contracts.

Tax Designation:

All of our field massage therapists are 1099 sub-contractors. This means that you will be responsible for your own taxes. You must be able to provide your own equipment, dress attire, and transportation/lodging unless we enter into a rental agreement with you separate from your sub-contract. We will help you with your situation on an individual basis based on your needs.

Interview Process:

You will be interviewed by phone/video chat and must demo in person or via video before being contracted for Massage Therapy events. Applies to MT’s and OTHER.
